The Girl Who Wilted

Day by day I watch you lose your mind. Depression hits and you lose track of time.
Days turn to weeks, weeks flow into months as staring at a blank wall becomes a routine

Your body wilts like the petals of a rose
crumbling gently with each passing moment
The light of your soul now shone dim

Blinking slowly until it finally stops.
Your breathing ceases, your eyes go dead
Constantly they gaze lost in the blankness ahead

A tear escapes my eye as I stare with a broken heart
at the girl that was once a flower
Yet let depression kill her
Turning her in to weeds...
