Heart of Ice
The reflection of the pain in my heart can be felt in my palm as I dig my nail into my flesh
On my lip as I sink my teeth into it, breaking the surface of skin.
On my head as I pull the strands from my scalp..
Pain, pain, more pain! Maybe if I get use to it you can't hurt me.
I become frozen under the constant daggers of heartache.
Cold, cold, ice cold! Blades of sharp winter grasp my heart.
The grip firm and void casting a steel casing upon me...
I am numb!
When I am numb you cannot hurt me.
When I am numb, I can forget..
